Rejected Ideas - Front Cover

For my front cover of my magazine I have made small changes through-out the designing of it to create a brand identity and appeal to my target audience. I have changed the masthead several times before I found the right font I wanted to use on my front cover as well as how it is laid out. I changed the font because originally it was a less noticeable font whereas now the masthead stands out from the font cover which is what creates the brand identity. I also changed the position of the feature article cover line, moving it from the right hand side to the bottom left where it can be seen more. I then changed the font of the feature article cover line because the old font was unclear and you were unable to read it. I have changed the font to a similar sefi font of the masthead as well as put effects on the text such as a drop shadow. I decided to get rid of the colour boxes which have text in them because I felt that they made the magazine in my opinion unprofessional and less appealing. In my finished design I have included much more cover lines on the front cover to fill unnecessary gaps that were there and make the magazine look more like a magazine.
